Small Succulent Haul from a Local Nursery

If you follow me on instagram you might have noticed I got a few more succulents recently. I have been meaning to catch up and post some more information about them.

It was love at first sight with this beauty! I was told she is a purple Perle von Nurnberg but I am not finding any information online about that. I suspect she is a Purple Pearl. She is a little tall and I was told she was reaching for light when the nursery got her. Once I do some more research I am going to behead her, re-plant her head and propagate her extra leaves. It will be my first time doing something like this and I love her so much. I want to make sure I am prepared before making the cut.

I am not 100% sure what this guy is but I love him! I think he is a type of Pachyphytum. Maybe a Pachyphytum Oviferum. The shape looks right but he has a little more green in him than the pictures I am seeing online. Oh well! He is still pretty great.

This interesting fellow is a Crassula ’Buddha’s Temple’. He is so neat! His texture is amazing! He is a little tall and wobbly but those rocks I used as top dressed really helped steady him.

I am so excited to watch this pretty lady grow! She is a Graptopetalum Pentandrum. She will grow upwards on a thick stem and grow tiny yellow flowers. I saw one at the nursery that was a couple of years old and it was amazing! I hope mine will be that happy and continue to grow!

Last but not least I picked up an Echeveria Lola. I have been hoping to find one for a while and was so happy I found this one! She already has lots of little babies. So excited to watch her and her babies grow!

With my new additions I think my succulent shelf is close to capacity. I have the herb seedlings and microgreens on the shelf above and I plan to move the herbs to the shelf below once they are ready to pot. There is still one more shelf on the bottom but it has been nice having a place for all my supplies. Plus the cat could get into whatever I put down there. I will have to wait and see how much space my herbs take up before making anymore purchases.

  1. Thank you! I am just starting to find a better selection and a couple of local succulent nurseries are opening after being closed for the winter. Hopefully you will be able to find some locally soon as well! 😊
